The Discovery is Land Rover's dynamic full-size SUV that shares an all-aluminum platform with the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. It combines responsive on-road performance with go-anywhere off-road capability in a single versatile package that still retains typical Land Rover levels of comfort and luxury.
The Discovery is offered in four variants: SE, Landmark Edition, HSE and HSE LUXURY. Power is provided by either a 340-hp 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine, or a 254-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel (Td6); both are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and paddle shifters. Full-time four-wheel drive with Land Rover's acclaimed ""Terrain Response"" system and available All Terrain Progress Control help the Discovery tackle a wide range of off-road conditions.
